Guardians with Inkubator New Works Development Laboratory

Problem:

I wanted to challenge myself to grow as a playwright.

Action:

  1. I applied for support from the Inkubator New Works Development Laboratory, an organization cultivating Washington, D.C.-area playwrights, and joined the third cohort of playwrights.

  2. I gave an interview for Inkubator on Air, the organization’s podcast, about the intersections of technological isolation and radicalization that shape my play.

  3. I earned a staged reading of the play’s first ten minutes by professional actors and talkback with artists.

Result:

I received valuable feedback from the actors and host, gained new perspectives on the work’s possible interpretations, and fostered relationships with potential collaborators.
