Life in the Sacred Spaces of Georgetown

Problem:

When Campus Ministry requested a print story about spiritual spaces on campus, Georgetown Magazine needed to adapt that story for digital reader engagement.

Action:

  1. I interviewed students from a multitude of faiths to understand what worship spaces meant to them.

  2. I coordinated with faith leaders, administrators, a designer, and a photographer to arrange photo shoots over several weeks that respected and honored the traditions of worshipers.

  3. I worked collaboratively with our web design team to bring this complex story to life.

Result:

The mixed-media story was well-received by Campus Ministry and cross-promoted through email newsletters and social media by faith groups. The video component of the story has garnered more than 600 views.
