Klytemnestra: An Epic Slam Poem is a courageous act of revolution in the Trump era

Problem:

I wanted to learn more about intersectional feminist stories in theatre.

Action:

I reviewed a play written and performed by Dane Figueroa Edidi, a Nigerian, Cuban, Indigenous transgender woman, who tells stories about systemic abuse and the role of narrative authorship in reclaiming power.

Result:

In the course of researching and reviewing this play, which spanned history from ancient Greece to the Black Power Movement in the United States, I learned more about how to be a better ally to underserved communities.
